Just off the coast of South Australia is the Great Australian Bight, a powerful yet elegant bay of turquoise blue waters, respected and loved by anyone who lays eyes on it. It was only right that we paid homage to this great bay with this wine. Sourced from coastal vineyards benefitting from the Bight's cooling influence, this Merlot has an abundance of blackberry, black pepper and mint notes, tempered by a lifting freshness. Pair alongside a barbecued steak with crispy rosemary-salted chips.

This cracking South Australian Shiraz is a well-constructed blend, crafted from highly prized vineyard sites whose winemaking approach focusses on capturing the natural fruit character of the grapes. There’s a lovely softness to the medium-weight fruit, with ripe plum and crisp raspberry notes teaming up to deliver an easy-drinking, no-fuss Shiraz. The ideal wine for barbeques and pizzas.

Australian wines come in a wide variety of styles, but they are all blessed with an unmistakable splash of sunshine-driven fruitiness with the vineyards of south Australia being blessed with long summer days, ripening grapes to perfection. This clever yet classically Aussie blend of blackcurrant-laden Shiraz and minty Cabernet Sauvignon is full-bodied, has plenty of sweet dark fruit character and the long, satisfying, lightly spiced finish has the perfect amount of grip to keep all the parts in check.

This is a classic Australian Shiraz that ticks a whole host of the boxes we look for when adding wines to our range. It is rich and robust, packed with dark fruit character and has a satisfying lick of peppery spice on the long, sumptuous finish. We recommend pairing it with high welfare butchers' pork sausages, creamy mash potatoes and either a traditional onion gravy or a big tray of roasted Mediterranean vegetables.
