Just off the coast of South Australia is the Great Australian Bight, a powerful yet elegant bay of turquoise blue waters, respected and loved by anyone who lays eyes on it. It was only right that we paid homage to this great bay with this wine. Sourced from coastal vineyards benefitting from the Bight's cooling influence, this Shiraz has an abundance of dark plum, red fruit and spice notes, tempered by a lifting freshness. Pair alongside roast beef with lashings of gravy and crispy potatoes.

Beso del Diablo is a remarkable Chilean Carignan that will bewitch your senses and ignite your taste buds. A truly great glass of wine is not solely crafted by the winemaker's hand, but in the vineyard itself. 'The Berry Field', with neatly orientated vines and undulating topography, is home to hundreds of bunches of tiny berries, ripening steadily under the influence of the warm sun, yet all the while protected from the extremes by a canopy of leaves. A classic combination of Syrah and Grenache - lashings of juicy black fruit and delicate peppery spice are a perfect representation of the generous climate and fertile soils that these fortunate grape vines call home.

This cracking South Australian Cabernet Sauvignon is a well-constructed blend, crafted from highly prized vineyard sites whose winemaking approach focusses on capturing the natural fruit character of the grapes. It champions blackcurrant and bramble fruit with lifted notes of ripe, red-fleshed plums. The palate has a tonne of fruit with a subtle undertone of chocolate, complemented by darker cherry liquor notes. A great match for prime cuts of beef or a classic lasagne.

Long gone are the days when New World Chardonnay was smothered in oak, and this 'Special Selection' bottling is a very fine example of how the times have changed and moved on to crisper, fresher and less heavy styles. The inspiration behind this range is one of South Africa’s most spectacular birds, the Cape Roller, brightly coloured and often seen perched atop the tallest vantage points, ready to dive at great speeds for its next feed. This is a lovely, mouth-watering white that is made exclusively from the Cape's most popular white variety, Chenin Blanc. The peach and orchard fruit characters make this a great wine to serve chilled alongside chicken dishes of all kinds, from Caesar salad to spicy curries.

The mysterious music of the deep has been part of folklore since ancient times. Whilst we cannot claim that the songs of sirens are anything other than myth, the impact of the ocean on the winemaking of Portugal is without doubt. Providing a much-needed counterpoint to the heat of the sun, it allows winemakers to achieve wines that are full of fruit, but also full of subtlety and balance. This harmonious Alvarinho, a variety more famous in neighbouring Spain, bristles with blossom and citrus allure.

Canceddi is the local Sicilian word for the traditional woven baskets used in times gone by to collect and carry the grapes at harvest time. While harvest methods have changed somewhat over the years, tradition will always be present in Italian wine. The shores of Sicily are home to some of Europe's greatest seafood which needs wines on the dining table to bring it to life. Vermentino thrives in Sicily and makes deliciously saline yet fruit-forward whites, perfect for the local cuisine.
