Casa Aguila showcases the practice of maturation. Being held in oak barrels, the wine can slowly breathe, taking on subtle notes from the barrel and developing its fruit character from primary to tertiary and complex. On the palate it delights with its full-bodied structure, elegant tannins and a long, lingering finish.

Canceddi is the local Sicilian word for the traditional woven baskets used in times gone by to collect and carry the grapes at harvest time. While harvest methods have changed somewhat over the years, tradition will always be present in Italian wine.
